The Center
for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health
Services Administration (SAMHSA) has launched this project in an effort to
improve accessibility and quality of substance abuse treatment services
nationwide. This site provides a comprehensive analysis of five specific
substance abuse and addiction-related areas related to: funding for and access

and treatment methods.

online system is a great mechanism for searching for full-text documents
online. Click on the sources you want to search (General Accounting Office
(GAO), Congressional Record, U.S. Code, etc.), select the maximum number of
documents you want to receive, and type in the search term. You can then
hypertext to the full-text of the retrieved documents.
National Clearinghouse for Alcohol
and Drug Information
This site
of the NCADIcontains the full-text of publications and studies such as the Drug
Abuse Warning Network
(DAWN), National Drug Abuse Treatment Users Survey (NDATUS), the
National
Household Survey on Drug Abuse, etc. This site also has numerous links to other government

(ONDCP), the Bureau of
Justice Statistics
(BJS) and others.

mechanis to search the site by keyword.
National Library of Medicine
This site
provides free access the NLM's Medline database. "Medline contains
bibliographic citations (e.g., authors, title, and journal reference) and
author abstracts from over 3,800 biomedical journals published in the United
States and 70 foreign countries during the current four years. The Loansome Doc
feature allows you to place an order electronically for the full-text of
articles you select from the references retrieved in your searches...Delivery
